When you’ve had your fill, return home to your historic apartment in the heart of Lucca for a night-cap on the TERRACE and some people-watching over Piazza San Giovanni. Do it all again tomorrow, but this time, turn left instead of right for a whole new experience.
When you’re not out exploring Lucca, the elegant interiors of PUCCINI PENTHOUSE will provide an iconic Italian ambiance. Decked out in antique flooring dated back to early 1900s and warm leather furniture, The PUCCINI PENTHOUSE shows off modern sophistication and classic style.

The apartment’s central location comes in handy, as early mornings and late nights are the most hassle-free times to visit popular sites. The Church of San Giovanni is literally attached to the apartment on one side and that’s were Puccini concerts are held daily at 7 pm. This is the historic headquarters of the only festival dedicated to Puccini and his music in his birth-place. The festival includes concerts and recitals with different performers each evening. There will be over seventy singers and two pianists alternating in the daily performances: this is one of Lucca main attraction that became the top rated ‘Thing to See’ on Tripadvisor.
The Cathedral of San Martino is right on the back of the apartment, shops and restaurants are all around including the recently awarded One Michelin Star Restaurant Il Giglio (opposite from the apartment, at the corner of the piazza). In the Square below the apartment it takes place the bespoke Antique Market: this is the most exciting and most treasured place to stay in Lucca!

Let the local markets and PUCCINI PENTHOUSE’s fully equipped kitchen inspire you to try your hand at preparing some traditional Italian cuisine. Dine with up to 8 guests inside or if it’s a meal for one, take your plate out to the terrace. On nights in, curl up on the sofa to catch up on some reading or kick back and watch the soccer match on television.

The closest car park is located in a 5 mins walk while the Train Station of Lucca is located in a 7 mins walk away.

Make sure you have a camera with you all the time, especially when admiring the streets surrounding the apartment, as you will find Via del Fosso with its medieval water stream passing by the antique gates dating back to 1100s, Piazza San Francesco horned by its white Carrara Marble Romanesque façade and Lucca Train Station within 7 mins walk away plus a safe parking 5 mins walk as well. And, if you are hungry, you will find incredible Italian restaurants in every corner, but a great place where to start it is the Giglio One Michelin starred Restaurant or Gli Orti di Via Elisa. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: We think it is important to make known that during the summer months, from the end of June to September 5, in the park of the villa in front of the apartment (not exactly in front of the apartment but inside the park) an auteur film festival is held therefore films will be screened in the evening, also in English, and the screenings begin around 9 pm and end around 11.30 pm. Usually there are about fifty spectators, so from the apartment you could hear the buzz as well as the sound of the movies.
