A magnmit hervorragenden Annehmlichkeiten, darunter einen beheizten Innenpool mit Whirlpool-Sitzen (Maße 4,50 x 3,50 m) mit herrlichen Fenstern mit Blick auf den Wald und ein Außenpool (Maße 6 x 12 Meter) inmitten des Olivenhains. Perfekt geeignet für größere Gruppen mit bis zu 14 Gästen, besteht das Anwesen aus einem Hauptgebäude und einem Nebengebäude. Es wurde sorgfältig zu einem luxuriösen Landhaus restauriert, das vor Charakter und Charme nur so strotzt.
Das schicke und komfortabel eingerichtete IL PALAGIO liegt zwischen privaten Weinbergen und Olivenhainen auf den sanften Hügeln 11 km östlich von Lucca in einem Dorf, das einen einfachen Zugang zu allen wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten der Toskana wie Florenz, San Gimignano, Pisa und Cinque Terre bietet und die Strände von Viareggio und Forte dei Marmi. Die umliegende Landschaft zu Fuß zu erkunden, wird einer der Höhepunkte der Lage von IL PALAGIO sein, es gibt viele Spaziergänge in der Nähe durch Wälder und Weinberge und die Bergdörfer VALGIANO und MONTECARLO, wo Sie einige der besten Restaurants und Aussichten von Lucca erleben können sind nur eine kurze Autofahrt entfernt.

Eine Toilette und eine separate Waschküche vervollständigen die Etage.
Zwei Treppen führen zu zwei separaten Bereichen im ersten Stock des Hauptgebäudes. Auf der ersten Etage befinden sich 5 Schlafzimmer und 4 Badezimmer:
- 1 Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Badezimmer mit Badewanne und integrierter Dusche;
- 2 Doppelzimmer mit 2 eigenen Badezimmern mit eingebauten Duschen;
- 1 Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und 1 Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten, die sich ein Badezimmer mit integrierter Dusche teilen
Die untere Etage der Villa beeindruckt mit freiliegenden Steinwänden und gewölbten Decken, wo sich ein beheizter Thermal Salts-Innenpool befindet. Während Sie in das warme Wasser eintauchen, Whirlpools und die herrliche Aussicht über die Wälder und Hügel genießen, wird ein herzerwärmender Kamin Ihren entspannenden Momenten Ruhe und Charme verleihen.
Das Nebengebäude befindet sich direkt neben dem Hauptgebäude (nur 10 Meter entfernt) und verfügt über eine große Terrasse, die als Lounge ausgestattet ist, mit Aussicht und direktem Zugang zum schattigen Außenwohnbereich des Hauptgebäudes und zum Whirlpool, der in einer gepflegten Gartenterrasse versteckt ist mit Blick auf einen Wasserfall im Wald. Das Nebengebäude bietet 1 Schlafzimmer-Suite mit Kingsize-Bett und Wohnbereich sowie 1 Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten. Die beiden Schlafzimmer teilen sich ein Badezimmer mit eingebauter Dusche und beide haben französische Fenster mit Zugang zur Panoramaterrasse, wo sich eine Lounge mit Aussicht befindet.
Das Bauernhaus ist voll klimatisiert und verfügt über eine sehr zuverlässige WIFI-Verbindung, die von der nationalen Telefongesellschaft bereitgestellt wird.

Wir haben uns unglaublich wohlgefühlt. Bei uns war der älteste 85 Jahre und der Jüngste 5 Monate. Insgesamt waren wir 14 Personen. Das Haus ist so toll gestaltet, dass jeder seinen eigenen Bereich hatte und die gemeinsame Fläche umfasst das gesamte mehr anzeigen

Super geeignet für lauschige Abende. Wir wollen auf alle Fälle wieder kommen. Alle waren begeistert.

We also had a great experience with Gianni and Lucca at InVino, who did at pasta making class for our kids one night and a meal for everyone the next night. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

Villa il Palagio is a Tuscan dream come true, and exquisite in every detail. The furnishings and fittings are all generous and lovely, and the setting is glorious (a garden filled with birdsong, the heavenly scent of roses, and the pervasive murmuring of the ancient mill waterfall in the background). Directly from the door, there are delightful walks amidst vineyards and olive groves, while numerous medieval cities, villas, historic churches, magical seaside villages, and mountain vistas are all within easy reach by car. Our hosts, Francesco and Daniela, could not have been more charming and helpful, and an olive oil and wine tasting, with delicious, locally-sourced dinner at Francesco's family's historic Fattoria Maionchi on our final evening was a highlight of our stay (and cannot be more highly recommended)!
Although there were only three of us staying at the villa (my husband, myself and a friend), we felt that our stay was very reasonable, considering the wealth of luxurious features the villa possesses. Because the bedrooms are divided into three separate "suites", there is a high level of privacy, despite the number of bedrooms. The villa is particularly perfect for history buffs, as it's been sympathetically restored from its former function as a mill house, retaining time-worm stone sinks and the palimpsest of former windows, doors, and mill apertures still visible in its sun-soaked walls. It was truly difficult to leave this magical place! |

Although the villa is exceedingly well stocked with dinnerware, cooking implements and appliances, etc., the lack of a dish sponge and detergent make keeping things tidy difficult. We went and got our own, but these necessities are normally present mehr anzeigen

Likewise, most rental homes provide basics like pepper, a small bottle of olive oil, initial supply of coffee, and (in the UK at least), a small carton of milk, which are particularly appreciated by overseas travellers who arrive at the villa having travelled for two days and a night. This was a particular problem for us, as we hadn't realized until a few days before our arrival that we were landing in Italy on a national holiday (Primo maggio), and that all the shops were closed. As it was, Daniela told us where to find a pasticceria ... but it would have been so lovely to have had a leisurely morning coffee at the villa on our first day! Luxury home rentals in the UK provide not only these basics, but also eggs, a loaf of bread, fruit, cheese, etc. It's a classy way to say "welcome" on the first morning in a foreign land. We DID appreciate Francesco's gift of a bottle of very fine wine, though! Another suggestion is to mount a convex mirror for the sharp turning in the road below the master bedroom of the villa. This might prevent the incessant horn-blowing, which begins quite early in the day, and continues until dusk. These are minor suggestions to improve to what was otherwise a PERFECT holiday! |

Villa Il Palagio is truly special. We went with some very experienced travelers and everyone agreed the villa is a unique find and is amazing! From its lovely and well- appointed common areas, to its large bedrooms, lovely grounds/pool and awesome grotto, everything was perfect. More importantly, the owners Francesco & family are wonderful people and the tasting and lunch at their winery is a must (food and wine are great and history even better). We also developed many friendships during our month stay. We very much enjoyed our chefs from Chefs in Tuscany ( Lena& Rachele), Francesco Piacentini and our two favorites- Alice Dami ( cooked for Queen) and Tonino & Katia Tizzano (laid out an unbelievable spread.) In Lucca check out Antica Locanda Dell'Angelo- ask for Vito. If you are heading to Florence special olive oil experience at Villa Monteoriolo (Eleanora and family are lovely). Recommend eating at Trattoria Dell' Oca (best we tasted in Florence - ask for Massimo). If you need a boat to go to Cinque Terra, only one place to call Versilia Rents (owners Andrea and Veronica are great). Finally, the best driver in Tuscany is Stefano Palmieri Tuscan Sunshine Tours . Roberto Petrucci Cortona Private Tours is great and can also help with tours. An unbelievable time and we will be back for sure.

The outdoor areas were lovely and well-maintained, with a picturesque garden and perfect pool a few steps below surrounded by olive trees. We particularly enjoyed the indoor grotto pool - it felt like your own personal spa! Francesco was a gracious host and was helpful and responsive throughout our stay. We would strongly recommend visiting his winery just a quick walk down the road, Fattoria Maionchi. Delicious wine and olive oil in a place steeped with history. Lastly, we would also recommend hiring chefs especially for larger groups like ourselves. Larissa and Valentino of TastEmotions are local Lucca-based chefs who are familiar with the villa and our host - their food and service was truly spectacular and outshined well regarded restaurants in Florence. It was an unforgettable time and we hope to be back soon!

Knowing where to find excellent pasta ,pastries, bread, wine, produce restaurants and of course shopping made the rest of our stay even better. It was nice of you to introduce us to many of the shop owners and experience their pride and passion for their establishments. Also it was so much fun seeing how much you love Lucca and your enthusiasm for all things local....it just made us appreciate how awesome Lucca is. The trip to Monte Carlo to Buonamico Winery was outstanding. It helped so much that you knew the owner and staff…so we were treated so special. The wine tasting, the tour and the lunch were fantastic. The winery staff were clearly very proud of all the premises and the fantastic wine. Stephane the driver you arranged was great as well...we felt safe and he made it a fun drive. We will definitely return to Lucca, what you were able to show us is a big reason for that! And we will definitely rent one of your amazing villas once more! You are a bespoke agency managing the best villas in the area and we are so glad we found you. It was a bit like time travel to a more peaceful time with beautiful scenery, lovely people and a surprise around every corner. The villa has a rich 300 year old history and I felt like I was living in a storybook. The villa is incredible and perfect for a large group. The property owner, Nicola, and all his staff really went above and beyond on the service. We had a bit of an emergency while there and without being asked, Nicola and Sidrak showed up to help with translation and transportation. Without their help I don’t know what we’d have done. And the lovely chef they recommended we hire, Alice, along with Paolo and Elisabetta, truly made the most delicious meals I had during the entire three weeks we were traveling in Italy. And when we were working through our emergency, again without being asked, Alice sprang into action and also went out of her way to help us. I would definitely recommend the villa and the chef! And don’t miss out on a wine tasting at Nicola’s winery just down the street. Great wine and an amazing history that goes back seven generations. Wish I was still there! The heated indoor pool was necessity so early in the season and well used by the children. Pretty countryside and close to some vineyards, lovely walks and also walkable (just) to the village for restaurants if required. We had Cristina prepare a welcome dinner and also she came to give us a cookery lesson which was great fun. We'd also recommend 'Tuscany Ride a Bike' in Lucca - we organised a bike ride with a guide which included lunch at a farm.

The grounds were beautiful, the garden was romantic and elegant with many lemon trees and the ga-zebo on the top of the fortress surrounding the property with a breathtaking view. The heated pool was a welcome relief in the afternoon and well used by our children. We were also blessed with a lovely owner available for our request and always met with a big smile. Sonia, the host, was outstanding. She was like a personal concierge. She helped arran-ge anything we needed during our excursions thru Tuscany. Advice on best places to see, best spots to park, best restaurants to visit. This is my 8th visit to Italy, but I saw it through new eyes. This note is just to say how much we loved our stay in Villa Il Palagio. This Villa was the PERFECT way to appreciate Tuscany: it's location, the views, and especially the hospitality, It is a magical place! We loved every moment. A million thanks.

This stunning old farmhouse was built on a hill overlooking the city to take full advantage of the views, and was recently renovated to offer modern style and luxury. Invite up to sixteen friends or family members for a serene country retreat, or use the estate for a honey-moon- style getaway to one of the most scenic destinations in Tuscany.
Drink in the views from outdoor living spaces with sitting and dining areas. While the home’s surroundings are of a grand scale, the interiors of Villa Noa are cozy and inviting. The villa has eight bedrooms, including two on the ground floor for greater accessibility. Some of the rooms open to a balcony or to a porch. You can fall asleep to the sound of the wind meandering through the almost 700 olive trees that adorn the property and produce an exquisite olive oil. Like the main living areas, the bedrooms charm with warm neutral tones and farmhouse-inspired original furnishings.
Set just outside the village of Marlia and close to the hamlet of Valgiano, Villa Noa puts you a short drive from Lucca old town, as well as a wide range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, grocery stores, delis, bakeries and much more in the village of Marlia. Once at Villa Noa, catch up on some reading beneath shady pergolas, work on your tan by the glorious infinity swimming pool and take advantage of its jacuzzi corner while surrounded by your private view. A stroll through the woods of the estate will indulge your soul. In the afternoon, fire up the BBQ and grill something fresh from a local market. At dinner, the fully-equipped kitchen is sure to inspire your inner chef. Or, you could bring in a private chef to create a menu of delicious Italian cuisine. After dinner, take a bottle of wine out and sit on the pool-edge while the sun sets over the rolling hills.
This region of Tuscany offers countless opportunities to experience the long and diverse local history, starting with enchanting Lucca (15 minutes away) with the best preserved Amphitheatre in the Roman world to Pisa, San Miniato and Montecatini Terme which are between a 30 to 60 minute drive away. Florence, San Gimignano, Versilia Coast, Chianti wine region and Cinque Terre (five mirage-like villages built along the dramatic coastline) are also fabulous historical sites to visit during your stay and are approximately a 1 hour drive away. Pistoia, Volterra, Siena, Bolgheri, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, Garfagnana, Valdinievole and the Versilia Coast are also all within easy reach. Or you can choose to enjoy the region as visitors have done for centuries: simply admiring the views and letting the surrounding vineyards and olive trees refresh your spirit.
Directions: At the sign "Valgiano" (location provided) go straight on the dirt road and always keep to the right until you reach the gate with the white walls (Villa Noa).

First Floor: 2 master bedrooms with double beds and 2 ensuite bathrooms, 2 twin bedrooms with 2 ensuite bathrooms (one of which has a balcony with view that provides access to the 7th and 8th bedrooms as specified here below. On the first floor there are 2 more master bedrooms with double beds with 2 ensuite bathrooms (one of which comes with a private terrace with view) accessible through a separate entrance from the garden or through the balcony of one of the twin bedrooms.
Note: Fireplaces are not usable.
