This was a fabulous place to stay in Viareggio. It is a short walk to the beach and promenade. The neighborhood is quite safe and quiet. The train station is less than 10 minute taxi ride and taxis are easy to get around town. But the best art for usmehr anzeigen
This was a fabulous place to stay in Viareggio. It is a short walk to the beach and promenade. The neighborhood is quite safe and quiet. The train station is less than 10 minute taxi ride and taxis are easy to get around town. But the best art for us was the neighborhood services one and two blocks away.
Across the street, there is a beautiful city park, Pineta Di Ponente (https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pineta_di_Ponente_di_Viareggio). Within a block or two is a small grocery store (la Francesca le Primizie), a pastericcia or small bakery shop (Panificio Gabriele), a hot and cold food take away takeout place (Gambero Rosso), and a barber shop (The Depot Barber Shop). We have utilized all of these places during our stay. All are reasonably priced and very convenient. I would go back here in a heartbeat. The complaints are minor. We cook and used Casa Michelangelo as an extension of our home. The kitchen was lacking in adequate glassware and there were no hot pot holders. We thought the balcony could have used more furniture, as it runs the length of the apartment. The living room could use a coffee table. As I said, these are minor inconveniences, but the overall stay was outstanding. |

The location is ideal, being close to both the beach and the city center, where most Carnival activities take place. This made it easy to immerse ourselves in the festive atmosphere without worrying about transportation. The apartment was cozy, well-furnished, and spotless, with spacious rooms and a well-equipped kitchen. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, providing great advice on getting around and the best Carnival events. The Viareggio Carnival is extraordinary, and experiencing it up close was fantastic. We loved the parades, colors, music, and energy of the city. This stay left us with wonderful memories, and we can’t wait to return next year!
