Elizebeth was an excellent house manager who showed us the apartment and its workings. She also showed us the closest market and provided restuarant recommendations. When issues arose she was quick to resolve the problems. At the end of our stay she arranged a cab ride for us to the airport . I forgot my prescription sunglasses in the cab and so I called Elizabeth. She called the cab company and retrieved my sunglasses and arranged to have them ship back to me in the US. |

The two bedroom was more than adequate with a much smaller kitchen but a very large dining room and nice size living room. The apartment was on what we would call the 3rd floor but there was an elevator we used for luggage. Maybe the only complaint about the building was at night the stairs were rather dark. You could turn on lights but it was still pretty dark. There really isn’t a bad location in Lucca since it is so small but this place was in an excellent section of the city. We paid for parking but you could easily go outside the walls and find free parking and not that much farther away.

We were a group of 7 adults and rented both apartments for 8 days. All the bedrooms have an ensuite bath complete with sink, toilet, bidet and shower. The apartment is gorgeous: high ceilings, beautifully decorated and furnished. The location is verymehr anzeigen
We were a group of 7 adults and rented both apartments for 8 days. All the bedrooms have an ensuite bath complete with sink, toilet, bidet and shower. The apartment is gorgeous: high ceilings, beautifully decorated and furnished. The location is very central: 5 min walk from the center: great shopping and awesome restaurants with delicious food. A few houses down there’s a bakery: we could smell the fresh bread from the window of our bedroom. Parking is outside the wall that surrounds Lucca. The streets are very narrow and it’s tough to drive there. The building has an elevator which is great given the fact that the apartment is on the 2nd floor. There’s some kind of construction/renovation going on the roof: the noise is not an issue.
The only inconvenience I found was the sorting and the disposal of the trash. In Lucca the garbage is sorted in 5 bins and you have to take the trash to the dumpsters a block away. In the US we have 2 bins which are much larger than what is provided in the apartment - so we hired people to help us with the disposal of trash. The communication with the management team was very good. They answered my questions in a timely manner. All in all we had a great vacation at the Medieval Penthouse. We will definitely rent it again next time we visit Lucca. |

My family and I stayed here for four nights, there were six of us total. We each had our own room and bathroom, apart from my mother and I who shared a room. The apartment is very large, but warmed up quickly during our winter stay (the thermostat was easy to use). The pictures are very accurate and actually do not do the apartment justice as it is more beautiful in person! The location is excellent, you can walk all through the centre of Lucca easily and even use the free parking lot that is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on how fast of a walker you are (we drove). Manuel met us at the apartment promptly and let us in, showed us around and answered all our questions. Thank you again and we hope to book with you again soon.

Soffitti altissimi, affrescati in tutte le stanze, divani in velluto, lampadari imponenti, quadri, affreschi con le attrazioni di Lucca, vasca idromassaggio e un arredamento in generale molto curato e sofisticato. La posizione è perfetta per girare Lucca e in generale la Toscana, in due minuti sei in piazza dell’anfiteatro e in 5 sei fuori dalle mura, dove di solito parcheggiavamo la macchina. Purtroppo dobbiamo segnalare una scorrettezza inizialmente ci era stato richiesta una cauzione maggiore a quella indicata dall’annuncio per la nostra età, cosa che è contraria alle policy di Airbnb, e che contattando l’assistenza abbiamo sistemato. Sonia per il resto è stata molto disponibile a risolvere i piccoli problemi che abbiamo riscontrato.

All the bathrooms are ensuite and there is a laundry room with wash/dryer machine. It was very warm and humid when we visited so the washing facilities came in handy. The apartment lies inside the walls of Lucca just in front of the Guinigi’s building. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and prepare meals and has a fridge/freezer. The apartment is an excellent base to explore this part of Tuscany and Liguria. The Surpluss is the wonderful jacuzzi. The coast can be reached in about 45 minutes by car. The property represents good value accommodation.
