This is real nice place that appears to have been completely renovated yesterday and in very good taste. The second “bedroom” is an open loft space with a sofa bed above the living room and so does not have complete privacy. Light and sounds easily tmehr anzeigen
This is real nice place that appears to have been completely renovated yesterday and in very good taste. The second “bedroom” is an open loft space with a sofa bed above the living room and so does not have complete privacy. Light and sounds easily travel between the two spaces. The location is toward the north section of the city within the city walls. Great restaurants, bars, shops, and grocery stores are within a few minutes walk. If you’re thinking of having a car in this town, forget it!

Although I had no need to make requests of the rental agent during my stay, my arrival experience was was fine. Without hesitation, I would happily rent Casa Edgar for any future visits to Lucca.

We very much enjoyed our 2 week stay at Casa Edgar located on the north side of Lucca within the walls in a very convenient location to all the sights and for daily walks around the wall.

We very much enjoyed our 2 week stay at Casa Edgar located on the north side of Lucca within the walls in a very convenient location to all the sights and for daily walks around the wall.
It was a very functional layout for our family with the kids sleeping in the loft on the pullout. The apartment was very nicely decorated and had lots of storage. The only thing I would point out is how loud it is. The neighbouring restaurant's outside patio was rockin' until 1:00am every night and then the school kids arrive at the school across the way at 8:00am. Add in twice weekly street sweeping at 5:00am, we were woken up several times. Thankfully our kids are heavy sleepers. If you are not, maybe something to think about. For us, the amazing location within the walls, close to everything and the very nicely appointed apartment made up for the street noise but I couldn't not mention it. Lucca Apartments and Villas were very responsive and helpful. |

Both bathrooms are spacious, lots of storage cabinets throughout the unit if needed, natural light available through 3 large windows (great curtains to block the light if needed), high ceilings, and the AC works very well. The location was perfect for us since we often went to cafes near San Frediano, restaurants near the Anfiteatro (Baralla was our favorite - order the Tordellini Lucchese and the Asiago Con Funghi), and we often rode bikes on the wall. We hope to return someday!

There was some renovations going on that weren’t great if you wanted to sleep in at all, but it’s a great apartment. I’d stay there again.
