Our party of six (three couples - old friends who travelled from different parts of Canada to spend a holiday together) stayed at Villa Gufo for the month of September. This peaceful and well-appointed villa was ideal for us, with everyone having a spacious and comfortable bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.
The indoor and outdoor spaces of the villa are well laid-out and both practically and stylishly furnished so that that we could spend time separately or together, dining outdoors or enjoying a glass of wine on the terrace, looking out across the spectacular valley during the day, and watching the twinkling lights of Lucca in the evening, with the quiet punctuated only by the call of the owl. We were conveniently located for visits to Pisa, Florence, Siena and San Gimigniano, as well as local expeditions to Pietrasanta, the Garfagnagna and Montecarlo. Lucca itself was a delight, and we visited often, exploring the maze of streets, the magnificent architecture and art, sampling the many restaurants and taking full advantage of the shopping. Service from the rental agency and the villa manager, Giuseppe, was top-notch, with much-appreciated assistance with both lost airline luggage and transportation issues when it transpired that the local taxi driver is no longer in business. Cleaning and garbage collection were reliable and efficient during our long stay. We have many happy memories of our wonderful stay at Villa Gufo, and would thoroughly recommend it. |

Our use of the pool (which had been a key deciding factor in our villa selection) was unfortunately limited by the presence of a very persistent swarm of (protected) bees, which took up permanent positions at both ends.

We are sorry for the bees, this issue has been resolved and there have been no problems subsequently with any guests enjoying the pool. We are in the countryside so inevitably we coexist with nature. The swifts swooping in to take an evening drink at the pool are a particularly spectacular sight. Concerning the road, the House Manager is usually available to meet guests before driving up the access road. The mobile signal can be patchy on that section of road but is good at its entrance for contacting the House Manager and at the property itself'.

The tennis court is in very good condition. There was even a vegetable patch that you were allowed to help yourself to. There is a small supermarket within 15 minutes. The centre of Lucca is about 30 minutes away. Day trips to PisaFlorence are very feasible.

Sonia and Mr Giovanni provided a wealth of information about the surrounding area - from local history and restaurant recommendations to all the directions and in-formation needed for our day trips around Tuscany. We plan to spend more time exploring Lucca this trip. My only complaint...we had to leave!

Villa Annalisa è una bellissima casa di campagna toscana in un'incantevole zona di Lucca tra il centro città e le spiagge della Versilia. Situata a pochi passi dalle rive del fiume e da un villaggio con negozi e a pochi minuti dalle famose mura della città di Lucca, la casa offre un paradiso superbamente arredato per il relax privato e riunioni familiari. Le caratteristiche eccezionali includono una piscina di 5x10 metri, cene all'aperto, interni moderni splendidamente arredati e una cucina completamente attrezzata.
Cinque eleganti camere da letto possono ospitare fino a dieci viaggiatori, rendendo la villa una casa vacanza ideale per famiglie o grandi gruppi di amici.
Con la sua ampia terrazza e cortile, oltre a numerosi balconi fuori dalle camere, Villa Annalisa ispira lunghe giornate e serate sotto il sole della Toscana. Prendi il sole sulle sedie a sdraio e tuffati nell'acqua frizzante. Sorseggia bevande fresche nella lounge ombreggiata o rannicchiati con un libro preferito sull'amaca. Radunati per le feste nella luce da sogno della sera e assapora bottiglie di vino locale sotto le stelle.
Le principali zone giorno interne si aprono sul giardino attraverso più porte, invitando le brezze profumate del giardino in casa. Lo spazio a pianta aperta presenta una cucina completamente attrezzata con camino e un tavolo da pranzo per dieci persone, nonché un grande soggiorno con TV e un tavolo da pranzo aggiuntivo. La cucina è completamente attrezzata con elettrodomestici di alta qualità per il cuoco contemporaneo. L'aria condizionata e l'eccellente WIFI creano un ambiente confortevole per tutti gli ospiti.
Le master suite e le camere da letto al piano superiore dispongono di letti king size e 3 bagni, comode docce e vasca idromassaggio. La master suite al piano terra dispone di una camera da letto deluxe con soggiorno entrambi con accesso diretto alla zona piscina e un grande bagno con doppio lavabo.
Lucca è una delle località più belle e incontaminate della Toscana, con ottimi punti ristoro e meravigliose attività all'aria aperta. La città di Lucca è a 5 minuti di auto dalla villa, e sei a circa 25 minuti di auto dalle spiagge della Versilia.

Un affascinante casino di caccia del 1600 con personale nella campagna lucchese che offre panorami suggestivi nella campagna tra Lucca e Pisa. Godetevi gli interni esclusivi, l'incantevole piscina e l'atmosfera incantata.
I suoi esclusivi giardini all'italiana vi stupiranno con fiori e alberi mediterranei mentre gli eleganti interni caratterizzati da affreschi originali vi offriranno un rifugio tranquillo e privilegiato. La casa vacanze sorge all'interno di un antico immobile in posizione panoramica sulle dolci colline di questa magnifica regione.
Decine di ambite mete nelle vicinanze: le storiche città di Pisa (comunque a 20 min di auto dalla Villa), Viareggio e Carrara, le esclusive spiagge della Versilia di Forte dei Marmi, il Parco Naturale delle Alpi Apuane, le suggestive Terme di Bagni di Lucca, le rilassanti Beauty Farm di Montecatini e persino le piste da sci dell'Abetone.
La villa dispone di tre lussuosi soggiorni dotati di tutti i comfort (accesso internet Wi-Fi e TV satellitare). Vicino al soggiorno principale si trova la sala da pranzo formale.
La cucina principale della proprietà è in stile toscano, con maioliche tradizionali, camino e mobili in legno e si trova al piano inferiore.
La villa può ospitare fino a 10 persone, in 5 lussuose camere da letto tutte con viste indimenticabili: 4 camere da letto hanno un letto matrimoniale king size, 1 camera ha due letti singoli. Tutte le camere sono dotate di aria condizionata.
2 delle camere da letto sopra menzionate e 2 dei bagni sopra menzionati si trovano al piano terra, quindi gli ospiti con mobilità ridotta possono evitare le scale e godersi questa villa.
Questa villa di lusso a Lucca ha un grande spazio esterno: un laghetto e fontane, gazebo ricoperti di rose e romantici tavoli da pranzo all'aperto, alberi secolari e persino un piccolo ruscello che scorre nel giardino all'italiana. Ogni angolo del giardino è semplicemente paradisiaco.
